In a not unexpected result, top of the table Derby beat Charlton by two goals; Jeff Hendrick turned in ex-Addick and popular Darren Bent's cross on 9 minutes and Jesse Lingard scored from Jeff Hendrick's through ball on 17 minutes to complete the win for Derby.

Charlton's best chance to score came from Johann Berg Gudmundsson's free-kick which was tipped over by their Goal Keeper Lee Grant.

Charlton had more of the ball in the 2nd half and Alou Diarra, who joined the club recently and plays as a defensive midfielder, gave a good account of himself in his first performance for the Addicks. - view external link
