    If we get

More in by the weekend at least they will have a week to train with their new team mates.

Wood will only have two days of training before playing up front.

Thing is Wood is used to this league it shouldn't be hard for him to slot straight in hopefully.
One thing I do think we need to do is stop messing around getting bids rejected for center backs and offer what the club is asking.
I don't want us being held to ransom but a center back fore is needed just as much as the striker. We've now had two bids rejected for Botman and I've just read we've had our second bid rejected for Diego Carlos. Supposedly offered £25 mil for Carlos but his buyout clause is £80 mil. I'm not saying pay £80 but don't insult a team and offer £25.
Both them defenders are huge prospects and will evidently be sold at some point for big big money so I think for at least one of them we should just meet the asking price and get them over the line.

    Good points.

I would say offer Lille 50mil or whatever they want. Hes worth it and will have no problem with adapting.

If we stay up, and once hes get PL-experice you could sell for 100mil, in a year or two.

We asked Lille to name their price and they said £45million we said yes and they then said he is not for sale according to reports.

If I remember correctly Asprilla flew in from Italy in the morning and come on at half time against Middlesbrough at half time that afternoon. He must have had medical and signed while still in Italy.I do remember he crossed the ball from the left and Steve Watson scored what I think was the equaliser.

Just got back from benidorm and the hotel had a group of 50 Dutch in for a sports training camp. Most were saying that Botman is a beast of a defender and top prospect, well worth whatever the fee is.

    :-(

Fans tend to know. If that is the case, it does seem that we are bartering too much; not knowing that clubs like Man Yoo swoop in at the last minute and gazump deals.
