Mr. Hewitson will be the first to acknowledge that he is not a man who likes to be in the limelight, - and I can empathise with him. Regardless of his stance on the media, - that does not make him a bad man, but people ganging up on the BOD and plucking allegations out of thin air without substantiating them, is tantamount to public bullying on the one hand, - and does not do the club any good on the other, - when those making the allegations know that the BOD will not retaliate.

Furthermore, - firing bullets, - live or otherwise is simply going to deter anyone from investing in the club, - so perhaps a ceasefire is in order?

The BOD have many more issues that they are coping with, - that we don't know about, - nor do we need to know, - those matters are private. What concerns the fans (or should concern them more) quite rightly is the form of those on the playing field, - and the fans are absolutely right to voice their opinion when things are not going well. Equally, I will reiterate my personal opinion once again, Queens have been extremely unlucky in front of goal this season, but that can't continue forever, - and one of these days someone is going to be on the end of a thrashing.

Perhaps Johnny is the most astute on this board when he says "The thing is , maybe Mr Hewitson does more good for the club than we actually know but if he doesn’t tell us then supporters will make up their own minds."
He is also correct to state that "His PR is atrocious"- but the club have asked in the past if there is anyone out there, - who has the ability and the time to offer their support to boost the PR of the club.

The BOD are not media savvy and its easy for others to point fingers and criticise, - but once again offer nothing to really support the club.

Perhaps the time has come for someone to offer their help to the club in the middle of this pandemic to help them with the PR side of things, the weekly blog as Francis as suggested and to help heal the wounds that have opened between the club and the fans?

An open dialogue is urgently required, - but without the proper tools at their disposal, the club will struggle.

Finally, - I cannot and will not say that some things could and should have been done better at QOS, (in life, when we reflect, it is easy to see where we could have done better) but for the mental health of the BOD in a very stressful pandemic, -may I politely suggest that we cut them a wee bit of slack?

jardi can you see a future for queens under this current regime ,the dumfries public are deserting in droves ,we will soon see what these guys are all about in the near future ,thay have two options either sort it now or ship out ,but do these guys in power care enough for the club to take positive action under these circumstances we are in with dwindling crowds that is hitting the club in its pockets .

Jardi as always makes some very valid points but on some aspects I don't agree. To say the board is not media savvy is a bit of a joke in reality. Any Chairman lacking in this area employs a PR who is and does this aspect of the job for him. It is standard practice for any competent Chair. To suggest that they are all lacking the necessary skills doesn't hold water as their younger members of the family will be and could certainly do this for them under supervision. As I have said before their continuing silence is only damaging the South and if the reports are to be believed that they are not even picking up to local news reporters then this is even more of an issue because you really do need to engage with the media in the old fashioned way so social media dislexia cannot be used as an excuse. Come on Queens you really do need to get your act together especially during these dark time. Where are the Mark Blount blogs?

Just goes to show that with repeated criticism the BoD will eventually respond. I haven't digested this fully as it is quite a tome but it is news at last from the club which we have all been seeking.

No doubt at all the resignation of the SLO lads prompted this after silence for months so hopefully it will become at least once a month from now on. !

On the OS they are asking for replacement SLO's but why would anybody take up the offer if the board were not engaging with the previous excellent incumbents m

But at least it’s an update so we shouldn’t complain.

Jardi. I have mixed feelings on what you say. Yes you are quite correct to say the club needs someone on the PR side of things to engage with the supporters and mend the rift that has developed. The part I disagree with is cutting the current board some slack. They are the ones who have put themselves in a position to run the club and take it in the direction that the club has went. And when the support are in total disagreement we pay the money at the gate to voice our opinion, or not, as it’s what is happening now with the lack of attendance. So when we see the club heading back to the bad old days then we have every right to ask questions, and the board should be made to answer. Yes they are major shareholders, but there are many other shareholders who have money in the club so there should be far more transparency and simple questions which have been asked of the board should be answered, instead of this wall of silence. This only leads to far more suspicion and that can’t be blamed on fans.
I said it before. Fans are not stupid and if the board were to say that this season is all about survival in the league due to whatever reason, then supporters would understand. Instead there is nothing! Then when questions are asked of the board again there is nothing. And that just leads to further suspicion by people who will not sit back and watch the direction that the club is heading. So no we should not be cutting the board any slack because if we sit back then we will be playing Albion rovers or Elgin on a regular basis in the next 4 years

It goes well before the pandemic this.
They haven't been communicating even behind the scenes going by the SLO statement.
    It's time for change.

I think we sometimes forget Queens status in Scottish Football. We would be way
overachieving if we were to make it into the SPL, I do think we should probably be a comfortable Championship Side, and are we really that far from achieving that?

I also don't know who they think is waiting to take over at Palmerston? I'm afraid if I had money, I wouldn't be throwing at Queens! I don't know Hewitson, but Craig and Mark are among the most die-hard Queens fans that I know and I certainly don't think we could bring anyone in who would care more about our club.

Our previous Chairman, with the best of intentions, overstretched the club and almost bankrupt us. Nice as it was at the time, I'd rather be a Queens fan than, say, a Gretna fan.

Be careful what you wish for.
