Just been announced that he is to take over at Sheffield Wednesday.
Doncaster have lost 4 of their last 5 matches so good luck to Sheffield Wednesday on the appointment of this coaching genius, he was probably no more than 5 games from getting the sack.
He won’t last the season in his new job, they change managers more often than their underpants.
I still can't believe that in that Cup game against Brighton at 0-0 hes substituted a striker for a centre back, and then twenty minutes later he substituted the same centre back for another centre back, using all his substitutes before extra time and not allowing for any injury which then followed and left us down to ten men.
A drunk in a bus shelter wouldn't have made those decisions let alone a so called football manager.
I still wonder if that game really happened or if I imagined it.
Which Centre Forward do they have that will now be a winger! Chums from the MLS are being called too - to come and join the party!
As you have said Mick - it would have been the second year running where's he's failed to get a good Doncaster side promoted! Likable guy but not a manager!
Surprising move, Sheffield Wednesday are a mess and Doncaster’s chairman isn’t particularly impressed with Big Dave’s move, believes that he has let them down by moving now.
Obviously more popular at Doncaster than West Brom. I did read how disappointed they are with him moving on. If he saves Wednesday from the drop, and I fancy him having a better chance of that than Allardyce does saving us, then it will be interesting to see how he gets on with a transfer window behind him next season. As said in a article on his move, even if Wednesday get relegated, he will be in a good position, experience wise, to get them back up.
I don’t understand how unpopular he was here. He nearly saved us from relegation and got us into a play off position that was not improved on upon him being dismissed and then we failed miserably to get promoted.
I guess some people see things differently! I hope he does well and I wish him well and I sincerely hope he keeps Wednesday up.

Sheff Wendy fans don't wear any undies Mick.
I like Daz Moore and although I wish him bad luck with the appalling Fowls. he will always be well liked with a lot of our fans.
And hes got big shoes to fill hasn't he, remember Tony Putrid had the full time job there before him!.
Just hope we don't have him back here, a nice bloke but as dim as a candle.
Anyone who thinks he's a better bet than Allardyce must be even dimmer.
