One follows the other army. I occasionally dabble myself, especially when in France.

I don’t go into central Manchester much these days since retiring in 2009 but the Britons Protection could be a place to go or meet up at the City Arms, Kennedy Street just off St Peter’s Square.

I went into Manchester last year to meet a few mates for a drink and didn't recognise the place from when i last went in the 80's. I will go with the flow.

We could have a meet up and have a pint at Wetherspoons "Moon under Water" on Deansgate and then nip around the corner to a cheeky but inexpensive Italian - Capri's Cucina Italiana located at 42 King Street West.

I've been a couple of times - it's a little belter. Have a peep on Facebook or Trip Advisor - it won't disappoint.

I will already be in Manchester on the day as I have an appointment near St Peter’s Square at 1pm. Moon under the Water is ok 4 me. Any other suggestions for a meet up point? I will private message my mobile number.

Everyone happy with Moon under Water as meeting point? It is about 10 minutes walk from Manchester Victoria Railway Station to get there I think. Not sure if there is a Freebus from the Railway station to a nearer bus stop on Deansgate.
