    on this day in 1978...

    Viv Anderson became the first black player to play for England...

    It seems strange today that there was no black players for England pre 78...

    My ex wife was born then, so 1978 as a year can go f*k itself!!

    We had Viv Anderson as a player manager at Barnsley (in 1993-4) and he made a mess of things, so lets not get too enthusiastic about him eh!!
