It’ll be the European Song Contest all over again.
I quite fancy Italy. They haven't conceded a goal in however long, are playing in Rome and have a squad (relatively) devoid of egos.
Also, I'm told Portugal have a stacked squad, but their defence worries me and they're in the "group of death". I'll maybe back them each way or something.
I'll support Denmark, even although they have no chance of winning, because why not.
I've never been less inspired by England. Southgate doesn't seem to have any clear strategy, it's too late at this point to be undecided about your squad. For me, there's too much dross and inexperience in the team.
It’ll be the European Song Contest all over again.
For the umpteenth consecutive time our media are of the opinion that England have a squad capable of doing very well indeed.
I suggest that this is the usual worthy squad that will neither be good enough at the right moments nor cynical enough at the right moments. Those moments can occur in any match.
Great result for Denmark tonight...
Do I look like a genius for tipping Italy yet?
Not yet, but they’re off to a good start.
I hadn't spotted that piglet had already started a tread about the Euros
Sorry piglet
Best game of the tournament last night.
I liked the way Ukraine played. Fast on the break but unfortunately a bit open at the back.
Overall maybe not quite good enough to progress very far, but made for good entertainment.
Aye, add Belgium and Holland to the favourites list.
I have an irrational hatred for Belgium. It's not helped by the syndicated commentators having an absolute jizzfest over them. I felt like pouring acid in my ears after Andy Hinchcliffe stated: "being manager of Belgium is easy, there are no tactics, the players just go out and play".
I'll look forward to their big name players bottling it again and their ancient defence splintering apart at the seams.
Anyway, at least we get Martin Tyler for England games, it makes the typically turgid crap served up by Southgate semi bearable.
How disturbing was the Eriksen thing? Next level Andy Barnsley carry on that. I think I'll be haunted by the look on his face when he was unresponsive for the rest of my life. I've seen the defibrillator in action before in a hospital setting but to see this happen in this context - that look, the CPR, his Wife, the players - extremely traumatic. Heaven knows how either team could finish the game.
I'll look forward to Eriksen on the pitch again.
