Tonight our old friend Freddie Ladapo popped a couple in early doors as Ipswich cruised to a 4-0 win at home to Morecambe and PW masterminded a late comeback as Derby triumphed 2-1 at Port Vale. The two clubs now lie 3rd and 4th respectively in League 1 as they try to chase down Plymouth and our friends from S6.

Chris Maguire in the news for the wrong reasons - 6 weeks suspension for betting irregularities.

He was at Lincoln City, & the club suspended him in August 2022, after breaching betting rules, then he left the
club by mutual consent 1st September 2022, he later joined Hartlepool United.
The FA charged Maguire with allegedly breaching FA rule E8 by placing 52 bets on football matches between
March 17th 2017 and February 12th 2022.
Maguire partially denied the charges & requested a personal hearing, the FA subsequently withdrew several
charges & a independent regulatory commission imposed a £750 fine, & a warning, but the FA appealed.
The appeal board allowed the FA's appeal, Maguire was given a 6 week suspension, but now the suspension
is considered to have been served in full, after it was backdated to November 20th 2022, but the warning
& the £750 fine remain in place.
