    Friday away to Motherwell

Another break from league business, the start of 3 successive away games (not back at Tannadice till Oct 19 v Hibs) with Killie and St Mirren array to follow

A crucial few weeks where we need to show strength as all equally tough

Promising signs after the first 25 yesterday

    I'd go

    Walton
    Adeboyega Gallagher Graham
    Luca Babunski Docherty Sibbald Ferry
    VDS Trapanowski

    Walton

    Sevelj Adeboyega Graham Ferry
    Luca Babunski Docherty Trapanowski
    VDS Moult

Back four, midfield with pace on the flanks. Moult to partner VDS at his former employers.

Now that is a side I'd love to see.

I like the idea but we'd get overrun I reckon, would need to be Sibbald instead of Babunski, Adeboyega hasnt played in a 4 before really either and unlikely he drops Gallagher just now tbh

4-3-3 would work like yesterday if you wanted 4 at back and Babunski in there imo

    Or the 3-5-2 I've suggested

Seems im having issues having a guess for the team on the park!

Not seen them enough in the flesh and hopefully its TV on Friday.

Walton unless Richards is getting LC games.
    Adegboyega, Gallagher, Graham,
    Stephenson, Babunski, Docherty, Sibbald, Ferry,
    VDS, Trapanovski.

But then, we have options of Miller T, Sevelj, Moult and even Kai or Middleton. Im giving up when Strain gets back to being an option!

Need to be more offensive, it's a cup game, no points at stake, 2 up front needed, Doc in midfield so maybe 442, start Moult, VdS off the bench.

Agree, but with one edit. Moult and VDS as the two up top. Give Moult the chance to feed off those flick ons, knock downs that are VDS stock in trade.

Come on Jim, take an aggressive/offensive approach and let's see what we can achieve with MT and Traps wide and feeding VDS and Moult with the ammo.

As Stoke says, it's a cup tie. Win or bust.

Happy with that but it would mean dropping Sibbaldi or Babunski. Why not..

We are having the same problems as a lot of teams. Only 11 allowed on the park at the same time. Some of those formations look great . But... is it horses for courses , or having a gamble? We found out on Sunday, that sometimes our formation won't work. Cup game , go for it. How many changes , I don't know.

Still a pretty good season so far, so early .
