    Players weekly wages.

When a players is said to be on XX,000 quid/week, is that figure based on a 52 week year? I’ve tried researching without success. I’m curious, enlighten me please.

How the footie agents work is this:

For example exile, player earning £50k a week is for 52 payments = £2.600.000 per year. BASIC

    Then the fun starts!
The quoted XX,000 quid/week you talk about is then subject to negotiated add-ons:
    Loyalty payments.
    Payment for points gained.
    Appearance money.
    Win bonus.
    Etc. etc.

We are obviously in the wrong business mate!

That's strange - I thought I replied to this thread earlier, but it doesn't seem to be there.

I agree that it's 52 weeks, and players like Ronaldo and Messi have negotiated 'take home pay', so the salary you see is what they actually receive, with the club paying their income tax.

A few of those figures might be right, in the way a stopped clock is right twice a day, but I think it seriously underestimates how much some of our players are getting paid. If that list is correct, then our bank manager will be a very happy bunny indeed.

I'd agree with you BT, it looks suspect to me, especially the wage they have got for the Iceman.
