I’ve only just noticed that Rod McDonald has joined Notts to bolster up our defence,he spent a couple of years at Carlisle didn’t he,how was he at Utd?
I’m looking forward to the upcoming season and with our other signings think that we’ve finally plugged the leaky defence of the past two seasons

Our defence last season was ridiculously bad,no pace,wouldn’t go for 50/50 balls and have been moved on,five i round say is about right,three or four at the back depending on the formation and one spare,the defence problem needed addressing and the owners have done that but,only time will tell if it works out or not but we can’t any worst than last season…. I’m already regretting writing that 😆

He wasnt great for us, but has been highly thought of by fans of other clubs he has played for. Maybe best to ask Northampton fans or Harrogate fans if you want a more balanced view.
