    Millwall Supportersa?? Club Regeneration Statement

    Millwall football club supporters will be stunned and disappointed with the latest news emanating regarding the property regeneration project for the area surrounding The Den.

    Millwall has been situated in South Bermondsey for some 104 years. The club has provided, and continues to provide, employment and award winning community works to help this unfashionable area of London. It has also brought First Division football to the area and an FA Cup Final appearance in 2004.

    Lewisham Council has been supportive of the club in the past providing shirt sponsorship in the 1980s and sending its Mayor to celebrate the cluba??s achievements on occasions such as the 125th anniversary celebrations. It is therefore clear that the contribution the club has made to the community has obviously been recognised by the council. It was most recently clearly seen in the great support the club gave to the campaign to save the Accident and Emergency Depa

    Whatever the club and MSC plan to do this should get full backing from everyone who cares about the club.
