Yes have always liked Alfie can see a good player in him... it's a lesson in standard required but wonder if for the likes of Gelhardt would the old Central League have been a better readiness for 1st team... maybe I'm a dinosaur

Stuffed 4-0 but for me just as important as Anfield match. Shows standard required of coaches and signings, Stokes A1 youth set-up will probably help them out of Championship, worthwhile watch

Hehe - maybe - likes the lad at the back Jenkins - composed on the ball. Greenwood had a tough time. Liked the 15 that came on and Stevens, Gotts, Alfie and Geldhard all look like they can play in a first team squad

Yeah - a lot of those players looked technically very good especially at the back and in midfield

I am afraid I don't share your gaiety. We lost in the U21s. We lost in U23's and the 1st team lost to Liverpool. I hope we start winning soon.

No gaiety about it. All the teams have moved up a level and has been shown over the time of this regime they will do what’s needed to improve, be it facilities, staff and players.

What would you prefer we started with a win while still playing in championship.
We should expect to lose more than we win it’s usually what happens when you move up a level. Especially when your away to league champions or as last night to a club whose u23s have been at this level for a while.Though I think we will acclimatize much quicker than many think

U21 game we played kids of 16 and 17. Against Stoke in the u23 we played well for 45 mins and got caught out several times - they will be better for it not least as several new players started.

Fact we are all disappointed not to get a point against Liverpool away shows how well we played in that game.

Prem league is a big step up and we showed we can play and compete - all good.

Don't want be argumentative but getting stuffed 4-0 is not "competing". I know what you are saying though. We don't have a few of our previous team with Poveda, Struijk, Botusz, Meslier, Edmondson, moving up to senior ranks or being loaned out. Just thought the new players would do better.
