"Dundee and Aberdeen are to trial a 18:00 BST Saturday evening kick-off time on 16 October in order to boost international coverage of the Scottish Premiership game."
Hmm, I thought they were trying to attract a new audience...
Yeah but a team that isn't scoring and Dundee.
3pm kick offs should be consigned to the past.
I don't mean bugger around with kick off times to suit the f@uckin telly either.
Just change the regular kick off time to something more folk can attend.
Shop workers and amateur fitba players attending a 7pm kick off at Pittodrie should boost the crowd.
Picking 6pm is typical.
I keep thinking back to game against the deid club with similar kick off time.
Utter carnage at game an thru city centre that day .
DD , summer evening fitba .
If this group o businessmen are serious about changes to get crowds in and raise money, this should be one of options.
Summer football is a no brainer, which is why it won't happen in the stupid mad world of Scottish football.
Wasn't the same choice of leisure facilities, streaming etc back then . Crowds were allowed to pay at gate too .
Can't keep referring to the past if want to look to future and improve.
Something has to done to encourage stay away and the young .
Better product definitely will do this but need a change in thinking and approach to game in general.
Nor by having those waanky digital subs’ boards, effete 15-minute half-time breaks, sinks with hot water in the lavvies, “international breaks”, or spoilsport ‘matchday experience’ pish like fanzones, singing sections, and face-painting.
And international fitba can go suck Doncaster’s cock.
