    Steve McClaren

Steve McClaren has has told officials at the Championship club that he will not leave for Newcastle this summer, BBC Radio Derby reports.

Pity he didnt come out and say this a few months ago rather than wait for Derby to miss out not only on automatic promotion but also the play offs!! Rammy is convinced the uncertainty is partly to blame for Derbys terrible end of season form? And has McClaren turned down the Newcastle job now because he can see the current team without major investment (which Ashley is unlikely to provide) are likely to be relegated next season?

I would be tempted to tell McClaren to phuck off

It's a tough one to call coz up to January he was the Darling of Derby and they were beating all comers. Rammy do you think he deserves one more season to see if he can recreate last seasons early form or would you dump him now?

Since he returned to the Rams his record has been good and mainly the football has been good to watch

He has let the fans down with his refusal to confirm he is not interested in the Newcastle job. To confirm he is staying now is no bloody use, he should have done it 4 months ago. As a result this has caused conflict within the dressing room and we all know what has happened since January, when these rumours first started. The damage is done for many fans.

At the moment it is slightly in favour of him staying according to a poll on another Rams forum.

His permanent signings have been a bit ropey too. Shotton, Warnock, Christie, Naylor etc have all been poor signings.

His failure to sort out our abysmal defence is another issue that was plain to see. He has also chopped and changed the defence far too much since the New Year as well. If he stays we need a whole new back four and a proper goalkeeper as Grant is and always has been a clown.

Now he has declared he is staying ( u

I'd get rid of him Rammy, he's not to be trusted, he has already messed your season up with his decisions and not saying anything about the Newcastle job..

A new brush sweeps clean ,there's not a lot wrong with Derby that a new manager couldn't put right for next season..

Once again Thanks for the six points in advance..
