Really? Cliff Richard probably doesn't agree with you

There are loads of examples of both getting caught with their pants down.
I'm not going to find them, as you won;t believe it to be honest

However, as far as the coronavirus is concerned, apart from reporting on others lies like the Sunday Times. There hasn't been any as far as I am aware.
What they are guilty of though, is pushing interviews with selected "experts" of their chosing, who they try to lead up the garden path with the blame game.
As said, it was tried with Blair the other day, cohersing him to condemn the government. But it blew up in their faces as he refused.
Sensationalism, makes better viewing than boring facts of the situation.
As pointed out. It is on all day and gets boring listening to the same droning questions. So they add a little spice to it.

But if such "close contact" facilities will reopen, I get a nasty vision of the red light facilities reopening with masks mandatory as well as the ubiquitous condom.
Indeed, not an exhaustive list. There was a parliamentary debate yesterday in which there were some hints that, although the current "package" runs till May 20th, that there may be, if the stats continue on their current path, some extra easing in about 2 weeks time.

Yesterday evening in an interview, Ernst Kuipers, the specialist coordinating all Dutch hospitals Corona responses said that some contact jobs might be able to restart in 2 weeks, again, if the stats allowed. The ones he mentioned were Hairdressers, Nail Studios and Physiotherapists. No mention of Psychologists which was a surprise to me as there are a lot of people suffering mental issues due to Corona and the lockdown. They could easily keep within social distancing constraints and provide what looks like a much needed service.

I said in a post 3 weeks ago that people weren't reporting illnesses to GPs and hospitals in the numbers they did pre Corona and that saw cardiologists seeing 70%+ less patients than the norm. People have taken that advice from the cardiologist and numbers are now "only" 40% down. More people seeking much needed help, which can only be a good thing.

Dentists reopened yesterday Mista and that's about the most "in your face" occupation going.. More "robust" face masks than before and safety glasses that basically hermetically seal the eyes. The patient also has safety glasses provided.

Nail studios (my guesswork here) can work with face masks for both painter and customer and maybe a plexiglass screen with a hole or maybe 2 for the customer to put their hands through........

Physio would also work with face masks and possibly safety glasses as well. Depending on the injury being treated (take my shoulder as a for instance) you can avoid facing each other through the whole session. Should I absolutely need to cough/sneeze, I could very easily not cough/sneeze in his direction...... although I have neither a cough nor a cold at the moment. It's now 7 weeks since my last session and, despite doing exercises daily, the shoulder is now way more painful than it has been since the last operation on it some 4 years ago and is starting to lose some of the range of movement I had which was to around 90 degrees to the body and no further. I'd be pretty dischuffed if CV-19 caused me to lose even more movement on a permanent basis.

Old Cliff seems to be another of your obsessions. Not sure why.

So, the media got it wrong on him...for every Cliff Richard there’s a Jimmy Savile or a Stuart Hall.
Nobody likes it when the press goes after someone incorrectly but on balance I much prefer a ‘free press’ that remains able to expose wrongdoing.
Frankly if the press had been listened to a lot earlier such cases as those of Cyril Smith and the (largely) Asian Grooming gangs would have been exposed a lot more quickly.

Maybe it’s just ‘mine’, but I suspect ladies and hairdressing falls into the category of ‘mental health and well being’.

I offered to cut my wife's hair, but for some reason, she declined my kind offer. 🙄
