    Maddison, Szoboszlai and Diaby

Can’t say I’m devastated to have missed out on any of there touted targets of ours.
Mind you it’s likely EH would’ve got them all playing better this season than they are.

I think Szobosz;ai has been really good for them, hasn't he?

But, aye, I agree, don't find myself regretting us not getting them.

I think taht Diaby will probably come good next season.

However, to the point raised - I completely agree, I don't find myself regretting not getting them.

    Concur.

At the time I was disappointed we didn't get anyone of them. Szoboszlai, mostly as we were heavily linked and went to Liverpool. I understood it but just tasted bad as it smacked of 'Fraud 6' v us as usual. However, I got over it pretty quickly.

Diaby to Villa. I was surprised but then the info about his salary demands came out and that changed my mind about his personality. His performances this season haven't set the Prem on fire. As mentioned, he might be magic next season, time will tell.

Maddison, least upset about this one out of the 3. Always struck me as a show pony and a selfish. Anderson manhandled him and dominated him as for every one of the 70 mins he was on the pitch.

Elliot Anderson BTW - back to fitness looks even more of a bull than before his injury. Mini J7, Geordie Maradona, he's a tank. We really benefitted from his physicality along side Bruno & Longstaff's graft.

Still think all three of them would improve our squad

Ideal world for sure. In reality the finances just don't work out.

Moving Miggy & Wison on for around £30m. Getting the dross out the door Hendrick as a prime example and freeing up up his £50,000 a week salary will be a great help. Hayden and a few others, we covered on a thread a while back will give us around £350,000-£400,000 a week in freed up salary.

Fraser is on £70,000 a week. I recon he'll be first out the door to ensure we comply with PSR/FFP as we are apparently slightly over. It'll be a quick sale. He wants out, we want rid of him, he's wanted by Southampton who are in the play-off places in 4th 9 points clear of 5th. So, they're looking good for promotion.

The Board are gonna have a busy summer for sure!
