Winning stuff like the Champions League is exactly the reason Bale wanted out of WHL. Levy's mob won't be getting those sort of glories any time soon.

Tottenham Hotspur don't remotely compare to the likes of Real Madrid in any way shape or form.

Spurs aren't even in the same universe as them, let alone the same planet.

Got to laugh at these type of comments. Spurs dont compare to Madrid... No team in the whole of the world compares to Madrid. 10 times European winners. The worlds biggest club bar none. its almost like your trying to insult by saying that but hell no. It was an honor to be at the BernabA?u in a CL quarter final and witness some of the greatest players do their stuff.

Still we have been on the same pitch as them playing at the highest level which is more than your smut peddling mob will ever achieve.

How many Tottenham players have held aloft the Jules Rimet trophy ?
A comfortable 3-0 to us there (ironic scoreline!).

Yes it's an old story, but then so are your glory days of the 1960's "double winners".

It even took a Hammer to take you into the Champions League

Spurs didn't have a single player in England's 1966 World Cup winning line up. It consisted of players from Leicester,Fulham,Everton,West Ham Utd,Leeds Utd,Man Utd,Blackpool and Liverpool.

    Conclusion...

Tottenham Hotspur didn't make any contribution to England's finest sporting moment.

FFS don't you just hate the school holidays?

Yes England won the World Cup, not some tin pot outfit from the east end!

Three players, one left for Spurs, one tried hard to leave for Spurs and no doubt Hurst would have come to the Lane too given half a chance.

I would be more than happy were England to win another World Cup with 3 spammers in the team but it aint going to happen, deal with it.

There again, when you think that the manager, Alf Ramsey, was a Spurs player for some six years, during which we won the Second and First Division Championships in consecutive seasons, 1949/50 and 1950/51, you could argue that Tottenham made a most telling contribution, couldn't you?

But thinking isn't really your strong point, is it?
