Got to laugh at these type of comments. Spurs dont compare to Madrid... No team in the whole of the world compares to Madrid. 10 times European winners. Spurs didn't have a single player in England's 1966 World Cup winning line up. It consisted of players from Leicester,Fulham,Everton,West Ham Utd,Leeds Utd,Man Utd,Blackpool and Liverpool.
Conclusion...

Three players, one left for Spurs, one tried hard to leave for Spurs and no doubt Hurst would have come to the Lane too given half a chance.
I would be more than happy were England to win another World Cup with 3 spammers in the team but it aint going to happen, deal with it.

There again, when you think that the manager, Alf Ramsey, was a Spurs player for some six years, during which we won the Second and First Division Championships in consecutive seasons, 1949/50 and 1950/51, you could argue that Tottenham made a most telling contribution, couldn't you?
