Every other team in the division would love to swap position with us now.

We have several games still to play, we haven't lost them yet, regardless of what people may think.

The team is more than capable of winning every single one of these games and putting a good run together.

Its folly to write the season off now.

6 games and 5 wins required to be sure to be sure.

Beating Blackburn is a must as Brentford will not miss out on their next 2 games.

4 wins will do it, Brentford will not win all 6 and also WBA win 5 out of 6, one or other will drop points somewhere, so 4 wins will definitely do it for us. But on law of averages three will almost certainly be enough.

Can you expand on those permutations untill we dont need to win any games.

So, currently Brentford have 69 pnts, WBA have 74. So the most points Brentford could get is 87 pts. WBA could get 92 pts. We've got 75 pnts. I'm saying whichever way you cut it, out of the 12 games Brentford and WBA have got, there will be at least two defeats:
If Brentford lose 2 we need 2 wins + a draw - WBA Pr. LUFC 82 pnts, Bford 81 pnts
If Brentford lose 1 we need 3 wins + a draw - WBA Pr. LUFC 85 pnts, Bford 84 pnts
If Brentford win all theirs and WBA win 4 + lose 2, we need 4 wins - Bford Pr. LUFC 87 pnts, WBA 86 pnts

But like I said, the chances of those two winning 10 and losing two out of 12 games between them is very small, so even a single other draw by either of them would mean we need 3 wins (although admittedly if it was Brentford winning all 6 and WBA winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 2 then it would be GD between us and WBA if we had 3 wins + 3 defeats i.e. we'd both be on 84 pnts).

Having said all that, the earliest we could guarantee promotion if everyone won all their games would be when we get to 88 pnts, which is the Derby game. But that ain't gonna happen.

All ifs and buts.it will go down to the wire.
