Thread: De Paul and Gvardiol

    De Paul and Gvardiol

Anyone else starting to think we may have been used a little by the selling clubs to inflate the price for sales to other clubs?

Suggestion from Phil Hay that we are borrowing against future revenue to fund some the outgoings too - that has a worrying feel of deja vu if true.

Difficult to say, but definite possibility. Not sure either player really wanted to come to England.
As for borrowing against future revenues, I think that's fine as long as future revenues are reasonably certain. These days thats relatively assured. If you stay up you get X amount if you go down you still get X. What happened with Ridsdale is that we borrowed against future revenues we were not assured of getting e.g. champions league money. Another difference is better backing now in the form of Aser (radrizzani's company) and 49ers. So far I think we are doing just fine. Once, spectators are allowed in again we will do even better.

Cherry, normally I'd say your assessment is spot on. However, nothing normal about this situations at all. Starting to look like no spectators for any of this season.

Especially the case if it's bio engineered and released on purpose. Who knows what the chinese built into the virus. They have no regard for anyone's life but the CCP and even they appear expendable until your reach the ruling elite level.

wonder how much the revenue stream changes if they don't get back into the stadiums this year.

wouldn't mind if the de paul and gvardiol deals fell through for us. A whole lot of money and we have some really good talent in the pipeline.

either way I don't think we are champions league material and we sure aren't relegation material. In an awful good spot for a newly promoted team.

If its true that neither player wants to come, then they shouldn't be pursued.
    Move on. And quickly too.

You are right about abnormal situation. But does affect every club not just us. I did not hear about the current prognostication on spectators. If true, that would be a genuine blow both financially and psychologically, as players do want to play in front of their fans. And Leeds fans at Elland road are pretty phenomenal.

Some irony in if that's what Hay is saying. I guy who spends much time in posting possible Leeds signings... rumours by there nature that would create interest in a player. If you have ever bought something at an auction, if there is more than one bidder, the price goes up.

We do seem to fanny about a bit when it comes to transfers even when it appears/feels like its not really going to happen.

Move on to the next target quickly before they get snapped up as well!

Looks like Jimmy (Summerville) should sign this week.

Ideally three more in - mid, lb and someone else up front/out wide. Still being linked with Rico Henry, the Celtic left back and Harry Wilson. Wonder if they may look at Che Adams again too.

happy with who we have signed so far but we are three players short from last seasons squad - White, Berardi and Foreshaw.

looking forward to tonight’s game to see who he plays as may give a clue as to which youngsters he thinks can step up.
