Thats a real blow. For all Bamfords faults etc, hes the best we have for hold up play, bringing others into attack, and on his day, can be a right handful. Oh well, no better stage for Joseph and co.

    He's definitely missing one leg...

If we're not planning on playing Piroe to his strengths (we seldom seem to?), then we need to seriously consider the Joseph and/or Joffy options and work on our delivery into areas where "things can happen" and, more to the point, where there might be players that can actually make those things happen. It seems to me that we rarely seem to flood the opposition box with willing attack-minded players with an eye to being in the right place.

i'm possibly being a bit simpllstic, but simple done well often works.

Firpo does seem to be good at launching dangerous balls into the corridor of uncertainty, but he has defensive frailties. He's not a full back, he's a wing back who needs help and cover.

If nothing else, Norwich will be working on a game plan based on what they've seen of us in recent video footage.

Let's mix it up a bit, eh?

Agreed on all points, particularly Firpo and his ability to create, something I've mentioned before whilst emphasising his defensive shortcomings. Great minds thinking alike? (And yes, I know the remainder of that one).

You mean the "it's a shame he's not available", when a couple of weeks ago it was genuinely a case of "Bamford out"?

At least its a decision that has been taken out of Farkes hands.
He may even have played his last game for us.

If so, a sad way to end his time at LUFC, bit like Dallas. Prefer it if we were to get through to the final and he was able to play (scores a last minute of regular time winner and we are promoted! A bloke can dream!)

Bit like your current keeper? Why he's playing and not Trafford is a mystery.
