    Missing an opportunity

I enclose details of a match day saver deal for Dundee United season ticket holders using Xplore Dundee buses. https://www.xploredundee.com/calling...-xplore-dundee
In my opinion the Dundee Football Club Commercial department should have negotiated the same deal for all Dundee Football Club season tickets with Xplore Dundee.

How much of this do the club have to pay ? Only thing I’d copy from the Dabs is the handing out free tickets for school age kids

I doubt if the club have to pay anything for this deal as it is good publicity for Xplore Dundee which helps them fill their buses every time there is a home game in Dundee.
We previously had a deal with Travel Dundee which were owned by National Express about ten years ago which gave reduced fares for Dundee Season Ticket holders.
I think that this deal happened when Scot Gardiner was the Chief Executive.
Incidentally Scot Gardiner was good at obtaining deals with businesses in Dundee for Dundee Football Club season ticket holders which was included as part of the cost of the season ticket.

You might not be aware that the Keyes Charitable Foundation donated £100,000 to the Dundee FC Community Trust to pay for the cost of free season tickets and match day tickets for poor and disadvantaged children and adults to attend Dundee FC home games in the 2018-19 season. I happened to discover this donation in Dundee FC Community Trust annual accounts for the 2019-20 season which also included the accounts for the previous 2018-19 season.
I do not understand why the trustees of the Dundee FC Community Trust did not ‘blow their own trumpet’ and highlight this large donation from the Keyes Charitable Foundation to purchase free season tickets and match day tickets.

Your mate Gardiner was also responsible for bringing John Brown in as manger.

Some Dundee supporters still think that John Brown was excellent as the manager of Dundee FC.
