    Euro Super League Anyone ?

Officially no French teams or German sides are signed up - Yet !

But according to Le Parisien PSG have never denied their presence among the 15 rebel clubs who have been planning such a format because it would further their interests in creating a competition that would allow them to confirm their status among the most powerful teams on the continent. The format would have 15 recurring teams in it and then another 5 guest clubs who would be different each season – the yearly competition would then culminate in American style playoffs.

PSG have not been deterred by FIFA & UEFA’s attempts to discourage such a breakaway Super League by threatening to exclude players who participate from competitive action. On the contrary, major powerbrokers within the club are not against the idea of leaving Ligue 1 permanently for this project as many of them don’t consider the French top flight to be competitive enough. The vocal supporters of the club are against the idea but obviously the other French big guns Marseille and Lyon are interested after sounding out supporter views.

Let's be honest the main strength of the Super League project is the financial appeal – plans seen by Le Parisien indicate that clubs would share €4bn in prize money and teams that finish in the top six would receive around €350m each which is four times more than the winner of the Champions’ League earns.

Anyone want to see Leeds in it ?

Would prefer to see us playing in the Northern League 2nd division (if there is such a thing).

Invention of those who see football as nothing more than a money making machine, Leeds should have nothing to do with it or those who promote it.

All teams who agree to play in this League 1. should be fined £100m 2. Penalized 18 points ( number of games remainjng) 3. Foreign Players who agree to play should have visas revoked.

If this goes ahead all the clubs who sign up should be kicked out of their respective Leagues. Any players who play for these "rogue" clubs should be barred from International Football. It will be interesting to see which players want to play for club and country and which ones want to play for club and money.

Unfortunately too many clubs think they are bigger than football and don't give a sh1t about their fans. I can't see it but I hope the fans of these clubs stop buying their merchandise.

It would be bad enough at any time but during the season and in the middle of a pandemic.....it just shows they don't give a toss about anything but money.

    Billy une erreur d'identité.
But if your interested I'm busy typing up Mums Euro draft on Fans rights being eroded.
It will effect fans in England soon - link below to whats been happening legally.
French local Authorities already had the right to ban away fans of certain teams support before Covid but it'll be a shame if that happens in England and will spoil the atmosphere.
