This is the takeover thread! So it seems not going to happen, which is in line with these jokers other attempts! As for this other person, don't think thats going to happen.

Agreed, and as for Eric Olthwaite, he might be better off investing in a new shovel.

However it might be that MM is so desperate to staunch the outflow of Morris family inheritance as to throw us to the Komodo Dragons

Heard that the American Investment Co, which made loans (twice) to Derby, the last to pay the wages 3 months ago, have thrown a spanner in the works of the takeover. They want their £17M back before it goes through. If true....oh dear.

I would have thought that was inevitable whoever took over, so not so sure its a spanner but rather a predictible issue to resolve as part of the deal. if indeed there is one, with someone.... anyone....

Whatever the reason, it would seem Mel has called off the deal due to the inability to produce funds by the would be new owners, which isn't surprising as this is what happened at Newcastle and elsewhere. So the takeover is dead in the water and Mel is talking to others.

I've always thought that Derby were a club with great potential, good infrastructure, excellent fan base ripe for developing into a competitive premier league club, but somehow millions have been spent and we inhabit the lower reaches of the championship.

The frankly appalling DT site seems to be suggesting that a deal has been struck with Erik Alonso and No Limits Sports Ltd and is now awaiting EFL approval.
Then again the DT commenting on the EFL is like the blind leading the blind so who knows?

Seems to be a 29 year old Spaniard with a very high opinion of himself who was rejected by Sheffield Wednesday. ‘Oh God’ indeed, Stenson.
