Football is not Football anymore, not as we old uns used to know it.
Being able to have a beer and a fag watching the game standing up, moving around the ground as and when we pleased, paying the 8 bob to get into the ground with your 4d programme, reading your programme and chatting to your mate next to you drinking in the atmosphere of the crowd before the kick off, half time I was always checking the A B C D Board through my programme for the HT scores, always a Saturday game or a Tuesday or Wednesday evening game, rushing down to get the Pink at 5:30 on the Saturday to get the rest of the Football scores and waiting up for News at Ten in midweek to get important results.
The game itself played in all sorts of weather, ups and downs from the 1st Division to the 4th with more of a level playing field for all but true honest hero's to cheer through the game, legends coming onto the field to show their ball skills for all to see, maybe only earning double what we earned as they was
