    Following Burnley

I've been a Burnley fan from the early 60's as I was, as mentioned here before, born in Burnley in 1945 (Banks Hall).

But I left when only 4-5 and have never seen a live game at The Turf.

I visited Turf Moore and had a look around the club in the late 70's before moving to Australia.

As a remote supporter I remember that all there was available was the tick-a-tape machine on TV live around 4.40 pm.

But unable to wait 'till then would phone the club during a game to find out the latest score.

Nowadays I watch live streaming of our games in Australia but nothing takes away the magic and stress levels of my earlier experiences.

I mention this because I bleed claret and blue and have nothing but its best interests in my heart.

My son, born in Brighton, but like his Dad is an avid Burnley fan so the power is transmitted and in good hands.

I wish you all to be safe from the virus and look forward to the day when Burnley football re-continues to give so much joy to us all.

I live in Western Australia which is the remotest state in the world!

We only have around 2 million people in Perth but its very quite now.

Not in lock-down but you are advised not to leave your house except in an emergency or going shopping for food and can't even travel to other WA regions without a genuine reason!

State borders are closed and manned by the police and army.

    Obviously no interstate travel either.

No international travel as Australia has banned entrance from abroad.

As our Premier said "we are now and island within an island".

We have few reports of infections (last count 453) and around 4 deaths.

Most virus problems were people coming back from abroad arriving infected.

Cruise ships are causing cases to rise but all in all it looks favorable compared to world news.

Our professional football clubs (the "A" league) are mainly in the hands of Private Investors.

There are in serious financial difficulties and several clubs have already terminated players contracts.

Most people are in their houses and little traffic on the road.

There is the obligatory ban on gatherings but now only two people are allowed to socialise providing they keep their 2 meter distance from each other (the exception is families).

Huge Government payments for the millions now out of work although I have yet to see any.

The logistics of these big Government payments make me realise that this problem wont be over any time soon.

So, Perth is just a microcosm of the world we are now in.

When this is all over,China need taking to task about this as they knew about in months ago and were telling their medical staff to say nothing ,in fact they were arresting them for speaking out.. They need to make them pay some form of reparations to every country in the world.. The cnuts..
