Conspiracy theories aside (everybody hates us!)...surely this can now be resolved and we must be allowed to move on without yet another wrecked closed season. If not...why not?
I read somewhere from a reliable source that any pts deduction would apply to next season, because its too late to change the fixtures for next season. Plus Derby would appeal any such sanction and the consequent legal action would take months to resolve.

More worrying is who will own the club, given that Mel clearly isn't up for doing much more than maintaining the club so will be reluctant to fund major transfers.

That bull**** the Daily fail talked about the £8 million owed to Cocu and team is nothing out of the ordinary - sacked managers and coaches get their contract paid as usual (unless a final compensation sum is agreed at the time) until the end of the contract or they get another job.

Of course we shelled out £2.5 million pointlessly to Keogh, when we could actually have had him playing for us this season, but hey that along with the clear financial mismanagement is just Mel's legacy.
