    Extended contracts

Dundee have extended all contracts that are up until the end of June, this is on SPFL advice, could there be a play off on the horizon if league reconstruction goes through ?

More likely it's to keep the players on the payroll for furlough reasons.

Why would the SPFL advise it, if player is out of contract and we aren’t signing them again why would we pay them

Because if we don't, the players are out of work, and signing on. If we do, the government is paying them up to £2500 a month.

Obviously the club also has its fabby insurance policy,so along with refunding 25% of season ticket prices,I would imagine it would cover wages incurred. If it doesn't,the players can still get 80% of their wages up to the limit, without any real cost to the club.

On top of that, JN apparently allows the spfl to make important decisions for him, despite his own opinion

So what about players on loan, surely their parent clubs would still be paying their wages

I would imagine they would, but Dundee may still be making a contribution to that until the end of may

Perhaps the SPFL are planning to start 20-21 League season at the beginning of September instead of August hence the one month extension on a player’s current contract.

Dunfermline have released 17 players, if it is just to furlough players to get them a wage, why have they not done the same, I’m thinking if league reconstruction goes through, there might just be a chance of a play off
