    Doc soft soaping cameron

    By saying he was outstanding.

Cameron does another interview saying he'd like a move.

1st interview by Cameron was maybe a bit nieve but hey ho honest .....a second interview looks like whoring yourself and disrespecting your own support......rather than telling us who he wants to play for I'd prefer he tracked back with a wee bit of purpose like he meant it.

Nearly every professional footballer wants to progress to higher level.
Nelms should be pushing the boat out and getting Lyall Cameron to sign an extension to his contract otherwise he will be leaving Dundee Football Club at the end of this season with the club only receiving a development fee for him.

I think this is a fair point. If we don't value our young players, and show that, by paying them decent money we may be saving ourselves 12 months at an extra £2.5 per week say £125k but losing several times that amount in the transfer fee we can negotiate when we sell. Maybe Lyall's career plan should be to be the best version of himself at Dens, rather than just wait until his contract has run down?

There was an interesting article in the Sunday Times newspaper dated 15th September 2024 about Connor Barron signing for Rangers. Rangers and Aberdeen are in dispute regarding the Development fee Rangers have to pay Aberdeen and it is now being decided by a three man independent tribunal.
The article stated that Connor Barron was never called up for the Scotland international team despite playing 76 games in the Aberdeen first team but after only being selected to play in 7 first team games for Rangers he received his first call up for the Scottish international football team.
The article also stated that the management of Dundee, Kilmarnock and Motherwell will be interested in the outcome of this tribunal as they have young players playing in their first team who are likely to leave their respective club at the end of their current contract.
Luke Cameron of Dundee, Daniel Watson of Kilmarnock were mentioned plus a young Motherwell player whose name I cannot remember.
According to the article the maximum development fee paid for players moving across the border is £500,000.
I doubt if we got anything like that for Max Anderson when he signed for Crawley Town as it was stated that both clubs came to a mutual agreement.
