Watched the game. Newcastle were gash until they made their late substitutions. P45 for Bruce? They’d be dancing on the Scotswood Road if that should happen. Villa on the other hand looked sharp as a tack particularly in the first half.

Had a peek on the Mags Noticeboard. The knives are really out for Bruce.

    WBA, Brighton, Newcastle at home.

    Blades away.

4 wins and we would be virtually safe.

They have been out for him since he was appointed as far as a great number of fans have been concerned. Let's face it though, they have criticised Ashley ever since he took over and kept them out of the proverbial, and the more they create the less attractive the manager's job becomes.

The simple fact is that, over the last two seasons, Newcastle have had more points at the halfway stage than Rafa achieved in his two seasons managing them in the PL. 2017/18 they had 18 points and 2018/19 just 17 points.

It’s not the halfway stage they have to think about, it’s where they finish in the first week of May. They keep playing like they are at the moment, there’s only one way they will go.

The fans weren’t happy with his team selection even before kick off. Carroll “a donkey up front” with Wilson played out wide. As for the midfield Hendrick and Shelvey “about as useful as a handbrake on a canoe”. Surely we weren’t as cruel to Jeff as that or were we? And what alternative do they have to Carroll. Joelinton!?

The best comment I have sen was from a friend up here who has supported them for years. He said that if Shelvey turned up with a pair of boots on a Sunday morning to play for his local working mens' club team he would ask him to run the line!

Strange.Good on his day but a bit of a problem I think from what I remember when he was at Swansea.

We can give Hendrick a wave as they slip into the Championship 👋
