Injuries not down to player fatigue.



Roberto Martinez has said that the injuries his side have sustained in recent weeks are not down to tiredness or additional strain in fighting for fourth place.

Sylvain Distin and Kevin Mirallas both limped out of Sunday's win over Manchester United and face watching the season end from the sidelines, but Martinez insisted that it wasn't down to fatigue.

"Sylvain has played a lot of games this season and has never had a sign of showing fatigue so I would say that was just an action in the game which resulted in an injury," said the Toffees boss.

"With Kevin Mirallas it is the last action of the game and it is an accident as he is trying to reach for the ball."
