Famous names that have left us this year (so far)

Yet again so many have passed this year that remind me increasingly of my own mortality. The sad news today of the passing of Pele is only the latest. This year we of course lost our Queen but also others who played their part in the backdrop to my life including screen great Sidney Poitier, comedian and writer Barry Cryer, rock and roll original Jerry Lee Lewis, singers/musicians Meatloaf, Coolio, Olivia Newton John, Christine McVie and Terry Hall, actors Robbie Coltraine, Ray Liotta and James Caan and cricketer Shane Warne. RIP all and thanks for the memories.

Still, while Keef-still-not-dead-yet is amongst us, there is hope yet

Spoke too soon. Not a great follower of fashion myself but just heard that Vivienne Westwood has passed at 81.
