No, your first instinct is correct, Cucurella and James going to tear our narrow shape apart.
Under normal circumstances I would say that we don't have much chance of getting a point let alone winning the match. This time though, the great N'golo Kante injured his hamstring and I don't believe will play. Without him, Turchel tends to change the Chelsea formation quite a bit. Pulisic will almost certainly play. Considering that Rodrigo has finally learned the GPS coordinates of the opponents goal after 2 seasons in the Premier League, I think we may have a sniff at a point. Turchel himself will be banned from coaching on the sidelines as he got red carded after his 'altercation" with Conte which I have to say was one of the more comical incidents I have seen in recent memory.

They will rip us a new one.
As will city, pool and arsenal.
Apart from that though, we stand a chance of participating in the rest of the games.
They have too much quality for us, the way we play so narrow will be ripped apart by wing backs sadly.
I just hope we are competitive as one of the most galling things last year was how hopelessly outplayed we were by every team in the top 6, aside from that one game with Chelsea that we should have won.
If we get a point I'd be delighted but more likely think we are looking at a 3-0/4-0 defeat
I've gone for a bullish 1-1 draw in the prediction league....got a feeling I may have been slightly pissed when I posted that
Like Billy says a few new arses to be ripped against the top 4 but we may have a chance in the rest.
For Sunday I already have that feeling.......
Maybe Jesse can get into aggro with Tuchel
I sound like a broken record but it's just BS that we don't have a left back or striker signed. This game should have stood out like a sore prick to orta when the schedule was released over a month ago. Have a true first team player whose playing his primary position by the time this game came. we don't have either for this game that could have set a great tone for the season. Instead we'll be beat like a rented mule.
Just deja vu all over again. It will be a 0-4 dry humping that would be worse if we did not have Meslier as our keep. He's going to start feeling like a pin cushion.
Think the board don't fully appreciate how quickly the crowd can turn - Jesse Marsch will I am sure be given time but Radz and Orta might need tin hats if we go on a losing run with no LB and Bambi injured
No LB, no CF, current RB looking defensively dodgy, super narrow shape and unable to prevent cross-field ball exposing us out wide, against a team with very good wing backs on both sides.
I'm with everyone here. Can't see how we avoid a complete hammering.
Sincerely hope I'm completely wrong.
Well, they are wing-Backs not Wing-ers right? So the only thing to do is to press them high. Harrison and Aaronson should know how to do this. Their wide play did make me feel quite uneasy about Sunday but then Kante got injured and I thought, "maybe there's a remote chance of 1 point".
