    The bubble has burst

Things are no longer looking good for us.

After the run of consecutive wins came to an end on Boxing Day, and now the unbeaten run came to an end yesterday, we have the daunting prospect of two consecutive drubbings to follow. Firstly Chelsea will be far too strong for us to live with, no matter which team they turn out, and then Leicester will run up a hat full against us as they have on the last two occasions.

We need to strengthen the team at left back where Craig Forsyth is not the answer, centre half if we can’t extend the loan of Michael Keane (David Moyes has indicated that he is going to recall loanees) and provide cover at Centre Forward where Chris Martin is on 4 yellow cards.

What is equally worrying is the injury to Craig Bryson, and the decline in form of Jamie Ward and even more so that of Will Hughes. Ward can no longer take a corner or free kick, he doesn’t seem to be able make runs and set up chances from them, and gives the impression that he’s only playing for

I cannot believe how negative this post is! We have lost ONE game! By a team that basically fouled bit and kicked their way to three points, and I might say allowed to do so by the referee!

Yes Chelsea are expected to win, but they will let us play of that there is no doubt, so I for one am hopeful the Rams will make a good account of themselves!

There is no reason whatsoever why Derby cannot get a result at any club in the championship, it's no fluke we are fourth, Derby are a decent side!

Your pessimism may well be more relevant in 6 weeks time as our run of fixtures between now and then will no doubt shape the remainder of the season!

Fester, burrnley, Blackburn, QPR all to come in that period!

Cheer up we could be mid table obscurity

So when we get a run of 7 straight wins and 8 wins and a draw in 9 games we are not allowed to be optimistic, but as soon as we lose one game the bubble has burst and we are in trouble?

Oh and Keane has signed till the end of the season today.

Edit: Keane extended only till end of January, but we are negotiating a fee with spurs over Dawkins permanent transfer.

You have to be trying to wind someone up - one loss and the end of the world is nigh. Trying to think positive but in such a negative post all I can say is you can't really be a Derby supporter.

We have lost one game in a long while! Get a grip.

Been a long time since posts like this and lets hope they end soon we deserved a draw. Rub our selfes down and move on now.

I think we have been given very generous fixtures over the last few weeks the next few weeks well see what we are really made of. Hopefully we pick up a few points .

Jan is/was always going to be a tough month for us.. No surprises there.
There will always be ups and downs over a season so I am not slashing my wrists yet.. We need to remember what the outlook was under Clough and I was seriously on the 'At Risk' register then..

Said it before, if we finish anywhere in the play off zone, I will be happy. At least I go to games and come away half happy now. Are we a top two team??? No bleedin way..
