I'm not suggesting for a moment that we bust the bank to sign players but given that the differential in prize money between places is approximately £80K I'd be tempted to push the boat out a little on renewing loans.

We have no boat to push out, we will be losing money at a rate of knots with our shocking cup exits. Why would we want to spend more only to make a loss competing in a european tournament that we will get papped out in the first qualifying round one.

We're unlikely to be able to sell anyone for any kinda cash other than Hutchison and that will be 100,000 tops. Id cut our costs now to try and get us on an even keel for next year. I see no point increasing losses to finish second when that prize seems to cost us money and any sound business tells you you shouldn't spend money to lose money, especially money you don't have.

On a lighter note, this victory (And Hearts defeat) mean we cant finish last, only need to worry about the play-off position now!!.
