Sally survives by knowing and saying what the fans want to hear. The we don't do walking away soundbite has made him untouchable.
The salary thing was a tricky one so he does what he does best ala 'who are these people' he pretends he has no idea what he earns. And when it comes to voting at the AGM he cops out gallery style by handing his vote to a supporters club, you guessed, pretends he doesn't know how they will vote.
