Thread: “It is the club, not the owner, who plays in the league,”

“It is the club, not the owner, who plays in the league,”

    Unashamedly nicked form another thread.

But it's worth a thread of its own

Lord Nimmo Smith iii - “It is the club, not the owner, who plays in the league,” he said. “The rules clearly contemplate sanctions upon a club, in distinction to upon the owner or operator. That power must continue to apply, even if the owner at the time of [any] breach of rules has ceased to be a member of the SPL and its undertaking has passed to another owner or operator.”

correct, it is the club which play in a league.

thats until they die, then another club takes their place.

the rangers are a new(but unqualified club) and play in a diddy league.
