    Jelavic Thanks Everton Supporters



    Nikica Jelavic’s message to Everton Fans.

    Nikica Jelavic completed a £7.5m switch to Hull City yesterday and was full of praise for the support that he received from Everton fans during his time at the club. The Croatian international wrote an open letter to the fans, which was given to the Liverpool Echo.

    Jelavic suffered a stop-start time on Merseyside after joining on a massive high, scoring a ton of goals straight after joining the club, but the goals dried up and his confidence was drained.

    Jelavic was appreciated by Everton fans for his time with the club and his letter shows how fond he was of the supporters:

    “They gave me their backing from day one and never stopped believing in me, which is something I will always remember.

    Classy bloke. Always had time for the fans.

    Never forget him finishing off the gobby tramps at Goodison with that volley.

    Would have rather kept him for the rest of this season but these things happen.
