politicians are elected to do the work of the peoples wishes.

not the feather thier own nest on jolly ups.

salmond as in others are thieving bazzas.

if joe public did likewise he would have to pay it all back and most likely end up in the nick.

[quote="stewarty27" his hoose 4 times, making thousands off us tax payers,When Darling was promoted to Chancellor, a post which comes with a grace and favour flat in Downing Street, and this became his new a??second homea?? while he rented out his own flat. Darling also claimed A?500 a month on food whilst bairns all over the UK were living in poverty, And even now he's still at it !! Claiming his A?109.000 MP ex Chancellor salary + max expenses, Instead of working for his constituents of S Edinburgh he tours the country on speaking engagements making over A?300.000 last year oh and lets not forget his little side wage working for Better Together, For Mr Darling it really IS better together ![/quote]

I reckon over 85% of politicians will be 'at it'. I don't trust a single one of them.

    Its not a wrong.

A financial impact study carried out by Ryder Cup Ltd concludes that the tournament at the Celtic Manor Resort injected an additional i82.4m into the south Wales economy, with an estimated i28m of that going directly to Newport companies

This was an opportunity for Visit Scotland to promote Scotland and maximise the potential economic benefits from staging the tournament. The cost of promotion will be a drop in the ocean compared to what will be pumped in to the Scottish economy. This article is a non story. Countries do these things all the time. Some people just don't like Scotland promoting itself. it was the same with Brave which is estimated to be worth i120 million to the Scottish economy. I wonder what the costs were for David Cameron's and his entourage trip to China recently. Did labour put in a freedom of info request on that one?
