    Judgement of a striker

IF (?) we accept the premise that the striker(s) will score the majority of the goals for a club and we look at our key (?) strikers this season; and lets assume for arguments sake we get Clarke and loose Griffo. i.e.

    Griffo
    Clarke
    Dicko

At the end of the season how will YOU judge these guys? Will be a simple straightforward No of goals scored? In which case what would be "acceptable" etc.

Or should our judgement be more complex?

I try and judge players on merit. What they bring to the team, contribution of team play, link up and goals. Some players and especially forwards contribute to the team, but rarely score.
