the game was on live on the radio with the whole 90mins shown after the game finished.

watched the return at ibrox.

always got mixed up with 2 goals at ibrox around that time. one was scored by cologne and the other by valencia the following season.

think it was deiter muller who scored at ibrox.

We lost 1-0 in Cologne and drew 1-1 at Ibrox. European Cup QF 1978/79.

I was about a month old.

I was at the Juventus game ...2-0 , they had most of the Italian 78 World Cup side .

i remember it, was on a thursday in cold conditions.

rangers were at home to celtic 2 days later at hampden but called the game off, billy mcneil was furious.

I've heard a few aulder Bears say the Juventus game was the best they'd ever seen Rangers play.

strange if true cos rangers won only 2 out of their first 10 premier league games at the start of season 1978-79.

and failed to score in about 5 or 6 of them.
