    It was meant in jest.

    QPR need to be promoted. Their best bet would be a manager who has a good track record of instant success, knows the division well and has already worked with most of their players. That all adds up to Steve McClaren. It would cost them an enormous amount in compensation to steal our manager...unfortunately they are part owned by Lakshmi Mittal. My point was the last thing we need is for QPR to come sniffing!

    It is certainly possible that QPR could be interested in Steve McClaren. That's the danger of having a superb, professional and highly respected manager.
