It was meant in jest.

QPR need to be promoted. Their best bet would be a manager who has a good track record of instant success, knows the division well and has already worked with most of their players. That all adds up to Steve McClaren. It would cost them an enormous amount in compensation to steal our manager...unfortunately they are part owned by Lak

What a daft comment... Opinions are what this site is about!
Could it be that Steve McC is on his way back to QPR ? Can he resist the lure of the lights and the chance of managing a big club again ? Dont miss the next episode of Derby County Small Town Football Club.
It is certainly possible that QPR could be interested in Steve McClaren. That's the danger of having a superb, professional and highly resp

Its a no win situation from our point of view. It would work against us just as much if he stayed, as the only reason for QPR keeping him is if he suddenly started winning again.

Comments like these pale in comparison to what our resident idiot has posted some time after Limey.

I came to this thread to read this rather shocking news about 'arry, only to be ambushed by some remarkable tosh by our multi ID clown.
Stick to the topic Romanis and don't let your obsession get the better of you.

My point was the last thing we need is for QPR to come sniffing!
a) I don't think Steve would be interested as we are the bigger of the two clubs.

    b) I would have thought that FFP restrictions would mean they can't go splashing cash around to compensate Derby. I reckon they would be limited to managers not currently under contract.
