    Dumbarton

Well, it is Thursday and no chat of forthcoming game so no time to waste. Up against Dumbarton , one of , i not our biggest rival for a play off spot and bit of excitement come the end of the season. We should have a strong team out to do the business and thats what I expect we will do. That is , unless McIntyre wants to play Burns wide left or bench Reilly . Oh , wait -----!l

Another tricky fixture against a team top of the current form league ( last eight games )

There's only 4 points separating teams from 4th - 8th so a win is ***** IMO if we want to pull away from the teams below us .

Yet again this league is the tightest & best in Scotland - view external link

Looking forward to this one, it will be a tough game as the Sons seem to score for fun...but they are not the strongest defensively so there should be a goal or two.

The Sons of the Rock scored 45 goals (best in the Championship) but also lost 45 !

Does anyone know anything about the injury to paton

I personally would start young Lewis kidd because Mitchell doesn't know thete is a final 3rd to the park. And the young lad can't do any worse than Mitchell because he is the worst in the team imo

You weren't complaining about Mitchell when he was banging in the crosses last season

    Sorry cannot agree at all.

Mitchell is a quality overlapping defender, who 80% of the time has a terrific cross on him.

If you are singling out Mitchell because a ball hit his hand then that is a real shame.

The referee last week should have been 100% certain that Mitchell deliberately handled the ball. By all accounts that I have heard it was ball to hand and in that case no penalty should have been awarded.

There should be the option of an indirect free kick for ball-hand incidents, even inside the box, when no intention was made but because the ball hit a players hand the advantage was lost to the attacking team.

Agree with the rest of your post Jardi but regarding the above, I believe if the hand/arm is in a natural position, it should be treated the same as any other part of the body i.e., no foul given.
This of course still requires interpretation and consistency of application by the referee and therein, as always, lies the ultimate problem.

gotta say tho mitchell hasnt been the same player this season albeit he is in a harder league ,he needs to start getting to the byeline more to put his crosses in as these crosses from 25 yards out are food and drink for championship defenders ,mitchell is by far and away our best rightback at the moment so mr fruitloop not realy much can be done , lewis kidds signing was to keep him on his toes and to have the competition for places in that position .
