i prefer watching english football but i have suspected for some time that scottish football viewers subsidise english football.

i dont have a problem with some english club who average the same as celtic taking 10 times more tv money from sky that we get, as england has 10 times the population, but the figures they get are not comparable.

would for example a hearts v rangers or aberdeen v celtic game in a closely fought league campaign attract a lot less than wigan v crystal palace or hull v sunderland for it to be justified as to why we always got a p1ss poor return.

its like 2 bands at a concert, say the stones and oasis selling the same amount of tickets but the gate money is added up and 90% of the money goes to oasis. english football clubs have been defrauding scottish football imo for years.

Not sure back then but in recent years STV have tried to increase autonomy from the ITV network. That's why Scots don't get programmes like The Bill anymore and obviously FA Cup football.

Nobody gets The Bill anymore, they stopped making it in 2010.

And faither, you can watch ITV London and plenty of other channels without subscribing to Sky.

Speaking of The Bill, there are two episodes from 2006 that were never shown on TV and probably never will be.

The reason being that the master tapes were stolen in a break-in at the studios and never recovered.
