I happened to catch an item on Radio 2 the other day and found it funny. The topic was as above and there were two examples.

West Ham v Man United. Background; Rio Ferdinand was banned for the game but was present. Song used 'Rio' by Duran Duran and West Ham supporter sang, "His is Rio and he sits up in the stand!".

Fulham v Anybody. Background; Bobby Zamora was not scoring. Song used 'That's Amore' by Dean Martin. Lyric should be 'When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's Amore' (pronounced A - more - eh).
Fulham fans sang 'When you're up in Row Zed and the ball hits your head, that's Zamora".
