A phenomenal effort by everyone associated with the team. I hope the owners were watching - they can't help but be impressed to be part of Derby after witnessing that atmosphere and our biggest win against Forest since the 19th century!

I thought the way Steve handled the media afterwards was brilliant as well, very understated about his former employer - a real class act when you consider the response of a certain former manager after winning against his old club.

Yesterday gives me real optimism about the future of the club. Steve's tactics were again spot on and showed the gulf in tactical nouse between him and the opposition manager. If by some chance we did get promoted I would feel confident that he could build us a team to compete.

On the other hand, just imagine what could happen given a full pre-season and a few quid in the transfer market in the Championship next season

    Boo Mac out...

    Preparation spot on.
Players encouraged to do the ''simple things'' they are good at in the positions they feel comfortable in.
Team selection and use of substitutions spot on.
    Tactics spot on.
    Result amazing!
Best score against F... since 1898
Atmosphere at iPro out of this world.

BUT even though SUFC lost at home too, Ratty will remind us that SUFC lost ''properly'' because this was to Wolves (who are top of the table) and that our performance did not really count (in the world of Ratty) because Andy Reid was not playing for F... and don't forget they were no longer a Top 6 team by the end of the day!

Or at FC Twente for that matter and we all know the England managers job is a poison chalice which supposedly better and much higher paid managers have not fared much better at.

It could all go tits up, but its been a long time since Derby have sustained a position in the top 6.
