Aiming for 2nd place isn't being negative, it's being realistic. The same way Selik see making the last 16 of the CL as a great achievement.
According to Stewart Milne.
Although most will say he is deluded to think we can challenge them, I'm glad that at last we're not coming out with the usual "aiming for 2nd" pish that we hear every season.
It will be a very difficult task with all the financial and 'other intangible' advantages that cellic have but it's what all teams should be aiming to do.
He also goes on to point out
"Most clubs are getting into a stronger position. We have to do our bit at Aberdeen but hopefully next season we can get three or four other clubs a bit stronger and challenging"
Basically all clubs should be aiming to take points off Celtic and try to make this league a wee bit more competitive.
Good luck with that.

Maybe trying to score a goal against Celtic in the league should be a starting point for the rest of the SPFL teams?
Celtic have only conceded 14 goals and dropped 9 points to date so a lot of catching up to be done and maybe the rest of the SPFL will stand a better chance if/when Neil Lennon leaves Celtic.
The gap is embarrassing. But so is the gap between Selik and Barcelona etc as we seen with the 6-1 humping in the CL.Originally Posted by Poguemahone

Spot on AJ and Celtic reaching the last 16 of The Champions League last year was a great achievement that we may not replicate for a very long time.

An honest appraisal from a supporter.
Other posters would do well to follow Pogue's example instead of the fawning posts we see on here from certain ones.
I dont see other clubs "getting stronger and stronger"..
They all put wee mini runs together then invariably get beat at home by a team lower than them in the league...
I dont think cellick have got any better either. I honestly thought they'd be trouncing teams every week in a cavalier style but its just not happening.
I see this as period of missed opportunities for a few clubs.
By the way, I know Rangers are playing mince too. Its not a Rangers thread but might as well get it in before some un,imaginitive poster does.
" 'other intangible' advantages "
Mmmmm - food for thought there
