Thread: Disappointing

    re: Disappointing

Personally feel scoring early worked against us last night.

After that we seemed to stop playing, that Williams lad in midfield for them run the show and fair play his goal was a screamer but we fell asleep from the free kick, very sloppy goal to concede. We then seemed to start playing again with Forsyth hitting the post and creating a couple more half chances that on another day could of fallen for us and we would have nicked it.

Then to go on to concede a goal from a set piece like we did was very disappointing especially in the 90th minute! I would have been fairly happy with a point tonight.

Also who was marking Berra for the goal, Forsyth? I said walking out the ground I would put my house on it & from the highlights on Sky it looks like it was him. Shame really as he had one of his best games for us last night I think, drove with the ball and got forward really well, but he needs to improve his marking from set pieces!

Do you think that may be because I have a life and do things at the weekend ...?

Tuesday night has never really been the busiest day of the week.

So your saying excludeing the posts I made I didnt post for 26.5 hours ... that is comedy gold. If you exclude all the posts for the last week I havent posted for 168 hours. Great logic!!!!

Radio Derby seemed to suggest we played pretty well, barring 2 daft errors? And also were very very upset with the ref's performance.

Can anyone who went corroborate this?

Win our home games and we'll be fine.

One thing's for sure, hope we get them in the play-offs after the celebrated like they'd won the league after the final whistle?

TBH I saw it coming a mile off.
Mick McCarthy (of whom I do a brilliant voice impersonation) is a great tactician. He totally mugged us last season at the iPro, remember?

Anybody remember back to 1979 when we mullered Florest 4-1 at the BBG? Well 2 days later we lost away at Brighton 2-0 who were bottom of the League. After the Lord Mayor's show etc

Still, Ipswich are the highest placed team of all our remaining fixtures. If I was McC I would now set the team the challenge of going unbeaten in the remaining 8 games and of winning 7 and drawing 1. We are capable of it. It's all about mind-set and telic/para-telic meta-motivational states.

I agree with this. It was a massive effort on Saturday and it's hard to maintain that straight into mid-week especially given the key players missing from the squad. We couldn't really apply a plan B yet still didn't deserve to lose.

On the positive most other results barring QPR went for us

Crikey...not a bad effort for your first game. 3 goals within the first 16 minutes.

Glad to see your still alive! mm well firstly I'm not afraid to be critical where IMO a manager has got things wrong, and secondly are you saying that Clough never got his tactics wrong?
