    Fickle Pompey fans

April 2013 Pompey are saved from extinction, released from foreign owners using a football club as a disposable play toy and given the prospect of living within their means and not tittering on the edge of financial oblivion. However, I did wonder how long it would take for certain Pompey people to start slagging the trust off. In truth the slagging off came a lot earlier than I anticipated. Recently I have read comments which beggar belief on how the trust are running the club, yes they have made mistakes, but they have been honest mistakes. But for so called fans to be suggesting that they should step aside is ludicrous, let's invite the oil barons, sand sellers, money launderers & anyone else who's got a few weapons to sale to bid for our club again, just like the good old days. There's also been the suggestion that they haven't got a clue how to run a football club, who has, me the model that you would like Pompey to follow, given that we haven't got or want another foreign ow

Definitely been some people posting ignorant rubbish on messageboards. It looks like it's only a few people who have nothing better to do. When they're faced with an informed response (ie the facts of life) they go quiet.

If we go down to the Conference I don't think we'll have a club. Who would want to sponsor a non-league club with a 20,000+ capacity ground and all that entails for starters?

All we can do is support the club 100% over the next 7 games. Awford isn't to blame if we go down.

I'm happy to call them the trust, I accept it doesn't sit comfortable with you, but I prefer this set up compared to the recent alternatives

I think the way the club is run is going downhill from how it started.

A prime example is the food and drinks at half time running out, slow and inefficient service.

Plus still silence on what the Tesco's plan means for the club and what will be done.

Quite what more can the club tell us about the tesco deal, it's at planning stage, & whilst food and drink is obviously a big issue to you, surely you can find something a bit more important to accuse the club of not doing.

So food running out means the way the club is run is going downhill??
Ermm I think thats a tad OTT.
If you have concerns why not email them??
Tesco-well you may have a point but I'm not sure again thats an indication of the way the club is run going downhill.
The Tesco deal as I see it has been downgraded, but then again we didn't own that land so PFC have little say over it. What it needs is one of us to win the Euromillions & buy out Robinson, tell Tesco to do one & build a new FP on the land.
    Now where's those flying pigs..

For the Tesco deal I would expect to have an idea on what the club are planning, the photo we have seen of the north stand having a new entrance to me is pointless.

Food and drink is an example of things going downhill yes, it is worse than it has ever been and it has been getting worse as the season goes on. Selling out of food before half time?!! And it is a big issue as its an excuse to get away from the football on display!
